Classical Guitar Posture?
Classical Guitar posture?
I'm a beginner, teaching myself on a classical guitar. The only reason I use a classical guitar is because that's the type I borrowed when I started, so that's the type I bought because I was used to it. I mostly just play along to myself singing, though once in a while I try to learn the riffs and intros and stuff.
The thing is, my back always hurts after playing, because I'm sitting on my bed looking at the chords on my laptop.
What's the best way to sit while playing guitar? I'm sure standing would hurt less, but I don't have a strap, nor any way to attach one, which is really annoying at talent shows, so if you have any tips on that too, I'm open for that as well.

well those people are very rigid in their rules.
The flamenco traditionalists are the same rigid.
But every now and then, somebody comes along and plays the most wonderful guitar, in a new position, their position, a new way, and as long as it sounds great, who cares how you get your sound across?
Watch Paco de Lucia on u tube, see his position, that is his own, which a lot copy now, and he got a lot of complaints from the traditionalists for that, yet he is a legend as was jimi hendrix, who even used his teeth, but thats another world.
