String Swing Hangers work great!

I have been fortunate to build a small, but decent collection of acoustic and electric guitars in a room dedicated to music. All 15 of my guitars are hanging on the walls and in the 15 years I’ve been using String Swings I’ve never had a problem with them. They hold every guitar, regardless of neck shape or style. Since they swivel, my Fender necks are just as secure as my Gibson necks. The depth is adjustable, so they will account for the difference between acoustic guitars and solid body electrics. While I never had a problem with the rubber grip on the hangers marring the finish of my Nitro coated guitars, I didn’t want to take a chance, so I use self-adhesive sheets of felt and wrap the posts with felt to further protect the guitar’s finish. I try and screw them into studs to support the weight, and where I can’t do it, I hang some of my lighter guitars, but the anchors that come with the hangers are strong and secure… although I sprung a couple bucks and bought similar screw-in anchors; but made out of metal – just that added bit of security to make sure nothing happens. I also strongly recommend (as others have done) that you run a humidifier in the room housing your guitars (40-50% humidity is perfect). I recommend the Honeywell

I never used to be a person that hung on my guitar on my wall, but I am now! My wife got me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it.

Ugly company logo is a huge turn off if you buy two, they may not match color wise.

Solid wood wall hanger. The logo on the mounting block is a big issue. With a crappy company name and logo why would you want to put it front and center?

Not exactly the same as the ones from a couple years ago.

This will make the 6th string swing I have now and they are definitely the nicest ones you can get and work great. This one has a different hook and spacer on it than my others but it looks like a better one the only complaint I have about it is that this new style hook has such a long thread that when you screw it tight it sticks a tiny bit out the back of it and if you accidentally put the spacer on backwards it will screw ¼” out the back and into your wall. Even with it right it wouldn’t hurt to have a couple washers under it because it’s just too long.

Really like this hanger

Really like this hanger, especially for the price. It looks good and works well, guitar does hang at somewhat of a funny angle out from the wall, but it’s not enough to really bother me. I do wish you could choose the color of the wood, but after looking at the color options I decided I’d be fine receiving any of them. Of course I ended up getting the one I liked least, but it still looks fine. As other reviewers have said, the screws that come with this feel cheap and like they could easily snap, so I used my own screws and wall anchors to hang this. I also had to pre-drill a small hole in my wall for the center bolt that holds the guitar since when it was tightened all the way the bolt poked through the back of the wood piece and prevented it from sitting flush with the wall. Not a big deal at all.

Don’t expect the color you ordered

Same complaint as everyone else: Not even close to the color in the photo and what I expected by the product description with “oak” included in the product #. I’m putting it in a room with antique oak, and this looks closer to pine. “Natural” fits, but I would have ordered something else if I’d known that it’s so much lighter than oak (attached photo is taken against an oak rocking chair seat). Would return it if it wouldn’t cost as much as a can of stain will.

very nice quality and price is right

I bought 2 of these and will order a few more. They are very nice looking and functional too. I have been keeping my guitars in floor stands or in their cases but it takes up much needed space and just creates clutter…not that a guitar should EVER be considered clutter.

Solid wood, solid hook.

The felt-like material covering the hooks doesn’t look like it will degrade over the years, so I’m happy about that. The wood hardware is nicely sanded and solid. Properly anchored, this hook will never fall. It also looks nicer than most of the competing products, and displaying a guitar on the wall is nice artwork.

Awesome wall mount – looks GREAT and works perfectly!!!

Fantastic wall mount for any guitar! Very easy to mount and keeps my acoustic guitar far enough off the wall. The “hook” material is a soft rubber that does not damage/scratch the neck of the guitar, very easy to put away and take out the guitar. The wood has a nice finish to it and is a nice addition to any room. As other people have mentioned, my only complaint is with the drywall anchors/screws that came with the mount. The screws are not drywall screws, and the anchors are oversized for hanging a guitar. DO NOT use them, and instead make a quick trip the local hardware store and pick up a new set of anchors/screws, easy enough and will cost you <$2. Overall super satisfied with this product, would buy again in an instant!

These are OK….I have a lot of guitar wall hangers where the yoke actually swivels very easily. These do not swing easily like my others. I do NOT like that. Otherwise, they look pretty good and they do hang guitars. So I can’t complain too much, but if I knew beforehand that they did not swivel easily like every other guitar hanger I have ever seen, I would have bought a different brand. They are actually stiff enough that if, for example, I hang a Tele where a Les Paul was, I actually have to manually straighten the guitar because unlike every other hanger I have ever used, gravity is not enough to let the guitar hang perfectly straight by itself.
