After a breakup of a long term relationship, I decided to take up guitar as a hobby. I had always wanted to learn how to play guitar while in my relationship, but never had the time. Once my ex left and I wrote down my “bucket list” of what I wanted to do with my life, guitar was towards the top of my list.

Now that I’m at an intermediate level with my guitar skills, I’ve got to say that my life is much improved – I regularly gig with two groups that each love the same types of music I do, and playing guitar has helped me get active in many parts of my life again. There is a distinction between learning to get through a song and learning to entertain a crowd. When initially starting out you will learn the fundamentals of the guitar and how to piece together notes to produce a song. As soon as you are thru the foundation stages it is time to beef up your skills with advanced guitar lessons.
