Learning to play the guitar is easy even if you have no musical experience what so ever. It is possible to find free guitar lessons. The first steps to learning how to play the guitar are actually quite simple.

Practice is the most important part of learning to play the guitar and you should practice each lesson and master it before moving onto the next lesson. Many times practicing a lesson for a week is all you need. Make sure you are doing the proper technique as improper technique may cause problems as your guitar playing progresses.

Many of the first lessons to learn to play the guitar will involve learning the parts of the guitar and just feeling comfortable with the guitar. You will need to feel comfortable holding a guitar, using a guitar pick and memorizing the names of the open strings on the guitar.
