Many accredited universities offer online PhD programs along with associate degrees, bachelor degrees and master degrees.  By conducting a Google search you’ll find licensed schools that offer online PhD programs.  Take some time to visit their internet sites and review the classes.  Talk with a counsellor to discuss the program and your prior education and what existing varsity courses will transfer for credit.  Many times, you will find a link to a chatroom where you can question a college employee in real time with an employee at the college who and get answers to your questions straight away or document your questions for a professional individual to contact you at a later time to say anything. 

Obtaining a university education of any caliber online is really convenient in today’s busy world.  Online programs make it possible for individuals to get their doctorate degree while they work full time, raise and support their families or live in remote areas where the closest educational establishment that offers your special field of study would require a great deal of travel time.  Online degrees are also very appealing to the individual who hasn’t been a student and sat in study room for a number of years and isn’t anxious to repeat the experience.
