Great first instrument for the wee one

I own two ukuleles. After my child tried jumping over my soprano uke I got this for for her for $7. This uke is by no mean a practice or performance uke, but it can be a child’s best musical friend. The string can stay in tune, and one can carry a tune with it. The best thing is that it is built sturdy and coated with synthetic lacquer. It withstood smacking, being stepped on, and it bore the weight my child without cracking. After that we could still tune it and sing. I highly recommend getting this for your young child who is getting into music and instrument.

This is a fav with both of my kids (2 and 5)! It’s definitely a toy versus a real instrument, but it’s been perfect for kids who just want to play. The graphics look nice and it feels substantial. Not as light and cheap as I thought it might be. For the price, I’m happy with my purchase!

Pretend only.

Total waste of money. I went against the negative reviews in high hopes that the positive reviews were more accurate. My 2 year old got this for Christmas and it doesn’t play a note. It is not tunable. It is solely for pretend. I think we could have found something much better, in person, for the same amount of money. Not recommended.

Prop toy only

Wouldn’t pay full price but I bought on sale for a third of the price so I’m okay with it being a prop toy. Not high quality enough to tune and play as an actual instrument. Kids play with it on occasion but got bored of it rather easily because you can’t actually play any decent music on it.

Broken string but solid otherwise.

This arrived with a broken string but I didn’t want to send it back so I bought ukulele strings for it. It is a Christmas gift so I don’t know yet how well it will hold up but it seems like it will be a sturdy, nice sounding toy for my toddler.

The body looks cute but honestly the strings are horrible. They make a plastic sound and if you pull a little strong it rips so easily . If the product makers could have put even a mediocre set of strings it would have been a great product.

They love them. The Barbie ones are bright and colorful

I purchased 2 of these for my youngest girls. They love them. The Barbie ones are bright and colorful. These of course are toys and not “real” guitars but for young kids they are great for pretending to have their own band!

We promptly returned it and will look for something with a better build quality

Two of the four strings would not tighten at all when we removed it from the box so this was basically a two string ukulele. We promptly returned it and will look for something with a better build quality.

It sounds like traditional instruments like a sitar

The sound is a little weird. It sounds like traditional instruments like a sitar. But he quality is astonishing. No matter how many time my toddler trows it around, not even a scratch.

Beautiful little boy ukelele he absolutely loves it, he and I are going to learn to play together, the ukelele was a steal from the amazon open warehouse deals, the item had no blemishes the box was fine we will use it to store his ukelele when he is not playing with it, so proud of my purchase because he really loves it. Amazon always delivers great deals. Wanda

I got a pink plastic princess ukulele at the thrift shop last night for $4.00. The strings cost me another 4 bucks. This is just me trying it out. It is a First Act Disney Princess Mini Guitar . (I don't know why they didn't call it a uke). https://www.firstact.com/content/dp285-princess-mini-guitar
