Very pleased with sound and stability

I am impressed with these strings for their longevity, stability, feel, and sound. I play them on an SG and the set I am using now have around 12-14 hours on them but they sound and feel brand new. I play in a band, rhythm and lead, and play live about four hours per week. I’ve kept that pace for about five years and have used many other brands of strings on this guitar, but this set is the first that have been consistently good. These strings stay in tune on this guitar. That simple sentence is not one that I have been able to type in recent years as I’ve had so many tuning problems (especially G and B) that I considered replacing the machines and nut. Out of habit I tune between songs, and during my most recent set I noticed that the guitar stayed solid for three hours (about 15 reps on songs). The feel is smooth, equivalent to the more expensive (and nice) NYXL from D’Addario. The sound cuts through the mix very well. I plan to stock up on these strings and hope the quality is consistent from pack to pack.

They just sound amazing! I don’t know the physics of it

I only use these on my Les Pauls. They just sound amazing! I don’t know the physics of it, but they complement the instrument so well. I used Dean Markley Blue Steels and EB Cobalt Slinky’s (11s) – also very good strings. But, I seem to always keep coming back to the Brite Wires (10s). Quite a soft feel, but with a nice pop to the sound. Very pliable, amazing range in bending, I can consistently do minor 3rd, or even a major 3rd bend (frets 12-15) without any toll on my fingers.

Great strings

These string are awesome I love them. I normally break strings in a matter of 2-7 days of playing (I play 4-6 hours a day sometimes more)

These Are My Wapners

These are great strings. I’ve tried most and these are one of my 2 favorite strings along with Fender Nickel Plated Steel’s. The sound, feel and overall durability in my opinion are about as good as it gets. For perspective I seek tone like Rainman seeks Wapner and get rather manic to say the least testing guitar’s and strings etc, But I’m happy to say (I think) after far too many Howard Hughes hideaways in my room with just me, Diet Coke, blueprints and {to my wife’s dismay) what has become a guitar collection that caused Keith Richards to call and state he was “concerned”? I settled on these. Take it for what it’s worth.

I usually use the Gibson Gear Vintage Reissue strings on all my electrics but decided to try something new this time on my Les Paul. Overall I love the change but at first I was not happy. It took some major break in time before these came into their own. They definitely have a brighter sound and sharper attack then the Vintage Reissue and I would recommend for lead playing. As I am mostly rhythm playing I will be sticking with the great sounding and balanced Vintage Reissues.

I have Crestwood electric guitar, all the stings were weak and break easily. I replaced them with these Gibson strings and just “WOW!” It sounds so much better then before! I love this product!

Wish they were more durable, but maybe I was just unlucky

 on October 17, 2017
I really liked the sound, very crisp and vivid, as described. My only problem is that the G string broke after 2 weeks of use. I’m a beginner and I only play after getting home from work, 1 or 2 days a week, for about 1 to 2 hours. Very mild and occasional use I’d say, I’m not a pro. Maybe I was just unlucky. I had always used D’Addario before but wanted to give these a try, I have got more life out of D’Addario strings for sure. I’ll try the Ernie Ball next. Strings are good though, just wish they were more durable.

Only 5 Strings (in mine) – Just Unlucky I Guess

Great, except, instead of getting 6 strings we only got 5. I thought maybe I dropped one. However, after thoroughly checking and re-checking everywhere, I am convinced we only got 5 strings. We had to leave one of the old ones on. The 5 string we did get are nice though; noticeably better than the stock ones that came with the guitar.
