You will love our PROFESSIONAL SERIES 20 ft Guitar Cables. They have a nice flexible tweed jacket (not the stiff plastic jacket like others sell). Our cables have Oxygen-Free Copper for both the center conductor and the insulator shield. Plus our cables are double shielded with a Conductive PVC and OFC Insulator Shield. And most importantly, our cables have a VERY low Picofarad rating. Have you ever wondered why one guitar cable sounds better than another? They may look the same, but sound totally different? The main reason is the Picofarad rating. Most guitar cables have a high Picofarad rating. Some as high as 200 Picofarads per foot. A cable with a high Picofarad rating is much cheaper to make, and they will still work, but they will not sound as good. Our cables are rated at a SUPER LOW 38 Picofarads per foot (AWESOME). Most guitar cable manufactures don't even give you their rated Picofarads because they are so high. Why would you want to use a cheap cable with a hard plastic cover, no flexibility, and a high Picofarad rating? A good cable is just as important as a good guitar or amp. Our cables have an external rubber heat shrink strain relief, internal rubber booty strain relief, AND an internal metal clamp strain relief. This triple strain relief system allows for many years of trouble free usage.

My name is Erik Hatchett and I’m the vocalist and co-producer of LA Story with Carmine D’Amico here in Los Angeles. When you tour the last thing you want to worry about is your cables failing you day of show! Rest assured GLS cables are trustworthy and durable! I have used every cable in the game and GLS cables out performed them all! Thanks for making such a great product! Customer for life!

A cable – not the coolest piece of gear I’ve got hanging around the house; the dbx compressor, the mxr envelope filter or, hey, the Fender American Standard Jazz – the raison d’être in the pile o’ gear – all probably fit that description more than a simple guitar cable. Cables are something you don’t think about until they go wrong and everything comes tumbling down. That said, these GLS cables are not merely “stalwart”, “rock solid” or “dependable” (though they are all that, in spades), they are actually kind off cool. The hardware at either end are solid and having one right angle is great for instruments, like a Jazz bass, that have a jack on the front face of the instrument. I’ve found cloth-covered cables tend to kink and tangle far less and these cables are great in that department; the cloth covering is heavy duty and the pattern looks great – like they’re from the ’50’s. As someone else mentioned in their review, it keeps bandmates from walking off with your cables too! I definitely buy these again, but I have a feeling I’m not going to need cables for quite some time.

Good cable, but 90deg end short or something?

This seems to be a solid cable. I bought it for use with my custom-made Telecaster with a recessed jack. The 90deg end won’t reach into the recessed jack to the point of locking. It slips right back out. I tried it with my Les Paul, J-bass and a couple of acoustics and they all worked fine. It’s like it is a few smidgens short of being long enough to reach to the click-over point on the Tele. I’ll use it around my jam room but it won’t be the standard cable I take gigging.

Nice cable and keeps band mates from accidently walking off with my cable!

I really like these cables. I have probably bought 4-5 of them now. I like that you can get different colors and it has a unique pattern. No one ever walks off with my cable by mistake. Band mates notice right away which cable is mine :).

Better quality cable for bass guitar

This cable had the angled and reinforced connectors that I wanted. It is also more visible to me during practice, because of the yellow sheathing. It has Velcro loops to keep it coiled and it also doesn’t tangle on itself. (This is a replacement for the black cable in the photo which is already tangling and the ends of it are not reinforced.)

Awesome

Great cable. I love the canvas wrap-gets bound up less than rubber and is easy to spot your cable out of the spaghetti work of cables in a band. Great sound coming from my electric bass.

One of The Best Audio Cables Out There.

Really nice to look at, solid, professionally built to last and sounds great. Better than any other brand that I have used in the past. Having that right angle 1/4 inch jack is a life saver. For those who have never use of a 90º 1/4 inch jack like this should try it some time; when a musician owns a guitar that has a 1/4 plug on the front or side of the guitar. this right angle jack will prevent a guitarist from damaging the jack and the plug; or if, a guitarist has an amplifier on stage and there are people walking all around it; well, this the right angle jack will prevent it from being hit, broken or bent. Other than that, this tweed wrap around the cable is very durable; and, because of the color, it it easy to see in dark places; musicians and stage crew won’t trip over it. This cable is very well constructed, I am impressed, soldering and insulation is exemplary.

Highly recommended

These cords are extremely durable and a real value for the price. GLS cords came highly recommended by other players and i can see why. Even at a length of 20′ the cord is completely silent–no static or noise from electrical interference. The fabric coating somehow seems to minimize twisting and kinking, and the Velcro wraps help keep it that way in the gear bag. Highly recommended.

GLS cables are well constructed, reliable and come in a variety of choices. They’re an excellent choice for beginner or pro.

Heavy duty cable with a sweet vintage design

 on March 29, 2018

This is one sweet cable. I got tired of the black rubber stuff. It has no pizzazz or flair. Yeah, they get the job done, but when you want to look stylish you go for a cable with a brown and yellow tweed cloth jacket. It doesn’t snag on anything and it has a very rugged feel. I could probably roll my half-stack over this a few times and it wouldn’t leave a mark. The design reminds me of the vintage amps I have stored in the attic. When I plug it in, I feel as though the collective knowledge and talents of a thousand guitarists surges through me and my guitar. Unfortunately, my skills don’t match my aspirations. Still, that shouldn’t detract you from purchasing this beauty of a cable. I have another GLS Audio (straight) cable and plan on buying their equipment going forward. Bravo. You’ve increased my music mana points yet again.
