We’re bringing you the Supreme Party Edition – an all-new value bundle with Guitar Hero Live software, 2 guitar controllers, and GHTV Bonus Content! Grab a friend and take the stage together in the groundbreaking GH Live mode, rock out to hundreds of songs now featured in GHTV, and enjoy extra content in the GHTV store.

It’s About to Get Real

Guitar Hero Live is here. FreeStyleGames have reinvented the legendary Guitar Hero franchise, with two innovative new gameplay modes and an all-new guitar controller.

GH Live mode puts you onstage, looking out: you get a heart-stopping first-person perspective as a real crowd reacts to the notes you play. Or switch over to GHTV – a playable music video network, where you can play along in real time, discover new music, and challenge friends around the world.

GH LIVE

YOU are the rock star

Playing music in front of a real crowd is like no other experience. With the new GH Live first-person view, YOU’LL take center stage like never before.

Rock real crowds with real reactions

Feel the rush of performing in a REAL band, in front of REAL crowds who react in REAL time to your performance. You’ll either win the crowd or lose them. Plus, your band mates will also let you know if you’re rocking out or need to pick it up. Fight the stage fright and bring down the house.

Awesome music, epic venues

In GH Live, you’ll take the stage in a variety of venues. Experience it all from the intimacy of a small club or the main stage of a massive outdoor festival.

GHTV

All playable. All the time.

GHTV is a continuous broadcast of music videos where you and your guitar controller are the star. Hundreds of videos are available, spanning all different genres of music.

Play what you want

Turning on GHTV is similar to turning on your regular TV. Pick a channel and dive right in. Don’t like what’s on? Just switch over to another channel and play a new song. You’ll earn in-game currency in GHTV that you can use to play songs on demand or to acquire a ton of different items in the game like custom note highways, player cards and more.

Rock with your friends

GHTV makes it more fun to play with your friends than ever. While one person is playing, everyone else can watch the videos. Plus, GHTV delivers exciting competition, no matter your skill level. Compete in your living room or online with people from all over the world, playing at similar progression levels and difficulty as you. Check out the leaderboards to see how you stack up against fellow rock stars around the world.

Level up and earn rewards

Level up to unlock more content and achieve Hero status. Along the way you’ll earn the use of new Hero Powers and you can level up your guitar controller. Hero Powers, similar to Star Power back in the day, can be used to gain a competitive edge and achieve new high scores.

Premium Content

Premium Shows include anything from new music videos in GHTV to live concert footage that you can play along to. Get access to this content by leveling up and completing challenges, or use real currency to play instantly.

Customize your experience

In GHTV you will have access to unique personalization items. Customize your note highway and player card to show off your style.

THE GUITAR CONTROLLER

Easier to play, harder to master

The guitar controller was redesigned for the best gameplay across all skill levels. The new 2×3 button layout makes it easier to play with only three buttons, or, on veteran, it starts mirrors what it’s like to play chord shapes with all six buttons, making the game easier for beginners and harder for experts.

New Controller Features

More real than ever

The guitar controller has been updated to reflect the new style and realism of Guitar Hero Live.

All new button layout

The new 2×3 button layout creates the feeling of switching between strings and provides an enhanced experience when playing chords.

Classic strum bar

Why mess with perfection? The strum bar you know and love is back in all its glory.

Next level Hero Powers

Use the guitar controller’s tilt sensor or the new Hero Power button to activate one of the many newly available Hero powers.

Return of the whammy

The classic whammy bar makes a triumphant return, to help you show off your flair.

Direct access to GHTV

The GHTV button lets you jump straight into GHTV from anywhere in the game.

TAKE ON VOCALS!

Offering even more ways to play together, Guitar Hero Live adds another layer of social gameplay to your living room with vocals, letting singers take the stage. Vocalists will be able to accompany the Guitarist with their very own lyrics highway at the top of the screen. All you need is a USB mic and you’re ready to rock out.

More guitar strumming problems for me.

I have been playing the guitar hero series for years, and seeing the new version drop to $50 for a 2-guitar bundle was just too good for me to pass up. But that was about the only good thing about this. I only played this for about 3 hours and I’ve already given up. I like the new guitar button design, it really does present a new challenge to experienced players. What don’t I like? The strum bar Does. Not. Work.

Controller stopped working

So I’ve only had it for a month now and one of the buttons on one of the guitar controllers has completely stopped working. It now makes the guitar completely unusable unless you play on basic or casual difficulty with lefty flip which is ridiculous. They should replace my guitar. Not happy about this at all.

A little bit meh

I’ve been a fan of Guitar Hero III, and played it to great enjoyment with my wife when the series was in its heyday. I missed being able to get new songs, but seeing how Activision overloaded the market with their own greed back then, I just couldn’t bring myself to buy a new game every month to keep up. It was too obvious they’re treating this project as a cash cow rather than enthusiasm, which is how the series started. But hey, that’s water under the bridge.

Two Player Is Impossible!

Thought this would be a fun game to play with my wife. Now we just yell at each other about who isn’t syncing their controller properly! It’s like splitting an atom to get both guitars to work together in two player mode. If you just want to play by yourself, it’s a fine game. I’m probably getting a divorce now.

Good quality, easy setup, but more popular songs needed?

Easy to set up and worked as expected. The Guitar quality feels good too. I was decent on the old four button system but not sure I’ll be able to make the jump to six buttons(two rows of 3). Going up one level from easy seems to be a huge jump in difficulty. I choose this over Rock Band because I thought you can get more song without having to buy more and for the most part that is true but.. for two people to play at the same time the songs are limited and I don’t think there is a way to add to the off line list beyond what you can easily unlock. Also the off line mode is not cooperative, only competitive, as you get the exact same buttons. I believe in the past you could choose to play lead, rhythm, or base and do a coop. Then to get more songs you have to play competivly online. The songs are random, mostly not very popular songs and can only be played by one person at a time. It’s easy enough to earn credits to unlock more songs, but I think that is temporary, only good for playing a song a limited amount of times, online only? That is about as far as I got so far, as I got a bit discouraged playing unfamiliar heavy metal songs one right after another. I feel I need to do some research and see if there is something I am missing.

I like pretty much everything about this game… except the fact that 2 people can’t be logged in and playing at the same time. One person MUST be a guest. Absolute bs for this day and age. Ruins the entire experience for me and my girlfriend.

Me & my 8yr old LOVE this game but for some reason we can NOT get the 2nd guitar to synch up & I’ve looked all over the net for a solution to this problem with ZERO luck. So until I can figure out what’s wrong we just switch off.

I love GH games

I love GH games. Package deal was awesome given the fact you get 2 guitars. But my only issue with the game is that you can only play 1 player unit level 15. That’s when player 2 unlocks. This is really difficult to do, given the fact that you can only play a certain amount of songs before you run out of point/coins to continue playing. You have to purchase plays to keep playing.

Not the guitar hero I remember

Not the guitar hero I remember. Beware when you buy it is completely different then the old game! They changed the controls and you can only play a certain amount of songs a day by earning points by playing online. It’s all functional no issues with the game or controllers at all. I was just very disappointed in the gameplay.
