I was initially pleased when this item arrived and I gave it to my son for his 2nd birthday, however within mere minutes of opening it and strumming it a few times, the neck pulled away from the body. Really poor construction. Piece of trash. I am very angry actually.

Great toddler gift!

Perfect gift for a toddler. Is this a guitar designed to produce top notch tunes? No. But if you want your kid to develop some form of musical taste or talent, this is a good starting point. Please note, that the paint does seem to scuff/chip easily, so may be a problem if you have a particularly rambunctious toddler. Also, it does not come with a strap or a case (a strap would be immensely helpful, KidKraft!).

Bought this guitar for our toddler son. I have a Yamaha acoustic guitar that I can barely play. Our son loves to come in and strum away at it. Finally, we found this guitar and bought it for him.

Very sturdy guitar.

My 3 year old was extremely delighted to receive this for his birthday. It seems well built.

It’s a toy, not an instrument

This is cute and seems like decent construction. However the strings won’t hold their tune no matter what we do. Seconds after tuning, they’re already off key so it sounds like a mess. I was hoping for a starter instrument, even if it wasn’t perfect but this is really just a toy that cute to look at – and for the price I guess that’s probably okay.

It’s a TOY guitar! CANT be tuned or played!

If you’re expecting to tune it and actually play it, forget it. (Trust me I tried!) I have no idea why they put anything other than nylon strings on this toy.

Not for the amateur 3 year old musician

What can I say? My grandson broke it after just a few weeks. He loves, loves, loves music and guitars. He plays along with guitarists on videos as long as you let him. I bought it because it looked so real-but it could not hold up to the wear and tear of an almost 3 year old. Strings don’t say in tune–so be prepared for some bad strumming along. Maybe might look nice on a shelf? He broke the neck off the body of the guitar and multiple repairs sent it straight to the trash. I’m on like the 9th type of toy guitar. We have a drummer in the family–so maybe I should switch him over, now??

I’m not having anything to do with a toy guitar that won’t deliver actual tuning and a fairly true feel, if even for a little one. Just wanted to have a guitar around for the baby to identify with and join in while listening to Dad play. Right now, it’s a percussive instrument for the little one but it’s doing the job! Sturdy for baby to explore, but she think she’s working her way around a real guitar like Daddy.

Good little toy

My son wanted a guitar from Santa for some reason this year. I thought this was random and he”d change his mind – but he kept asking so at the last minute I Amazon primed this gift. I’m familiar with the brand so I knew I could trust it. It’s even more than we needed – with actual adjustable strings and extra strings for replacement. It’s not super high quality – since it’s not that easy to tune and doesnt seem to stay in tune well – but at least I know it wont completely fall apart right away. And we don’t need anything that plays real great anyway.

My 3-year-old grandson loves this! He started strumming right away. Now I just have to figure out the right tuning. It would have been nice if there were some kind of instruction book, but I appreciated the all-cardboard packaging that got the item to us in good shape.
