  1. truth i’m considered to have ‘big hands’ but i need to stretch my fingers a lot to play this song. i kinda feel bad for the people who have small hands

  2. +i like showers lol i have very small fingers trust me but this song is really easy…its all just practice and how much you play.

  3. the chords of this guitar are Nylon or steel?
    does anyone knows?
ps : don’t make fun of the question i’ve never hold a guitar in my hands and i’m thinking of buying one because of the beginning of this song <3

  4. Hamza Haffar classic guitars are nylon, generally acoustic guitars are steel strings. i suppose there are hybrids between the two out there but that’s a whole different story ?

  5. rmbeavers I mastered it in a day, then again I’m experienced, and I learn faster than most. good luck dude!

  6. Regan Martin wow , i learnt guitar around 6 months or less i think , 😉 learning by myself tho by watching youtube tutorials. for the first 2 months i already going for fingerstyling lol xD worth it

  7. Brilliant. So glad to find this. I’ve just been asked to learn to play this for a singer. (I think she may be testing me out!!) I had absolutely no idea what was going on when I first heard JB doing it.  Sounded like a terrifying piece for a mediocre guitarist like me.  Very intricate and complex. Timing of the chord changes is totally strange. BUT….the way this lesson breaks it down is simply wonderful. So there’s going to be loads of pain/practice ahead. But this lesson has explained it really well and is going to make it possible for me to nail it in time. I hope. Thank you greatly.

  8. Simple, easy and fast.. Man you are awesome! One more subcriber 🙂 and will surely recommend your channel to my mates. Greetings from Belize, Central America

  9. Thank you Gareth your tutorials are very clear to me, you teach the songs steps by steps with good explanations and it makes it a lot easier to learn. Thank you for your work and sharing. It’s the second song I’ve learned form you with river flows in you. Good teacher with passion and caring.

  10. wtf it should have been standard tuning i fucking broke to strings tuning it tight and loose

  11. any tabs or video for the intro from the second guitar played at the beginning of the song??

  12. Hey Gareth. Today (after around 24 years) I finally learned from, James Bay a great lesson. Many actually. I noticed the way he uses 4 to 5 or 5 to 6m (in between, not sure of the right term) in transit trills (Root six/five) two/three frets above the current chord and more than a valuable thing or two that has developed my style immediately in big ways with some chord positions I wasn’t using and the way he layers them into his bass patterns. I just wish I had learned these lessons ten years ago. Better late than ever though I guess. Thought I might ask seeing as you offered suggestions for song lessons, if you might take a look at Red Sand by Ian Moss. Along with Alexandra Leaving by Leonard Cohen, that is a fantastic lyrical and tastefully driven and melodic song with a spellbinding story that never fails to leave me a little awestruck. If you do choose to do it, would it be too much to sask you to talk a little about the chord forms and such as you go.Knowing what I am doing in that sense seems to orient me much more than simply knowing what frets to finger and seems to give me new tools to transfer into other songs. Thanks for the lesson.

  13. Thank you so much! This was a great tutorial.. easy to follow and keeps the viewer motivated till the end. Cheers!

  14. Hi can you please play the whole song before you start the tutorial? I want to listen how the song will be after learning this tutorial :))
