Not better than previous tuners from Snark

Maybe I got a bad one, but the 1st, E string (the high one), on both of my guitars shows up as A in this tuner, unless I put my hand on all of the remaining 5 strings; and, then, it usually shows an E, but not right away. This quirk just doesn’t give me a “warm fuzzy” so I’ve reverted using the built-in tuner on my acoustic. (Honestly, this is not a step up from my old SN-1, which still works fine, though it lost one of the rubber pads.)

Simply, Easy, Perfect.

I played the violin for years as a child but was never taught to tune it. This product is so simple to use and I get a perfect tune every time. My 9 year old is learning right now how to keep her violin in tune and sounding amazing independently. Very happy with the simplicity and ease of use.

It’s worth the few extra bucks for this new version

I had an older version that I lost and needed to replace. It worked perfectly fine so I considered buying the same

Faulty Design?!?!

I received one (left in picture below) on 12/12. It was finally used at class for the first time this past week. A piece that holds the turner together broke making the turner unuseable. So I ordered another one (paying for it as no return policy) thinking it was just a faulty one. Received second one today and went to use it and the same piece broke on this one (right in picture below).

Great gadget. Put one in every guitar case you own. No regrets, just perfect pitch.

Where was this tuner when we started to learn guitar? Man, it’s so simple (wait for it…), a caveman could do it. That’s right, even if you’re a dumb daddy like me, you can get great results every time. It even helped me to discover a poor stringing job on a recently purchased guitar. The A string was cut too long (only needs to reach next tuning peg, not go beyond) and the extra winding was interfering with the D string just a little bit. This made tuning tricky as both strings were touching. After cutting the A string to the right length, there was no more bunching up and no more interference between strings. Like magic, a good guitar now keeps it’s tune better and it’s much easier to get a good result with this cool little device.

Really convenient. Wish these existed years ago.

It really couldn’t get simpler. Clip on, and press the button when you want to tube. For me, this is great because I used to bring a tuner pedal… and then hey, as long as I have a tuner pedal, I might as well throw in a delay pedal as well, since I can split the power. Well, you know what goes well with a delay pedal is a little overdrive… and maybe some chorus… and then all of the sudden I’ve got more pedals than songs. With this, I really can bring just my guitar, amp, and clip-on tuner. Love the simplicity, and it locks onto the note fast, too.

Never be out-of-tune again

I bought one of these, and now I want one for every instrument in the house! With this clipped on to the head of your guitar, bass, mandolin, or ukulele (you get the idea), you’re basically one button away from a perfectly in-tune instrument. No more fiddling around with tuner apps on the phone! Also works pretty well in a noisy environment — it may pick up on the vibrations in the headstock instead of using, but I’m not sure on that from a technical perspective. Highly recommended.

Love this tuner!

I purchased this tuner when I got involved in a cover band so I could stay in tune throughout a gig with the changing temps of playing outdoors. I like that I can leave it on the guitar throughout the gig and it’s hardly noticable. I also like that I can tune up without anyone else knowing. It isn’t affected by noises around me and I don’t have to have the amp on at all to get in tune.

Great for string instrument players

Fast shipping. Packaging was great. The product was as shown in picture, correct color and all. Works great. This is the second one I buy. This time for friend who is always borrowing mine. He has a guitar tuner and also does it by ear, but this is just handier, and is more precise. It can also be helpful to learn how to tune the guitar when you don’t have a tuner on hand. But I carry mine. It’s small enough to take along. Like I said, I had one already, and it has worked perfectly fine for the past two years without a problem. Even comes with batteries.

My middle and elementary school kids like it so far. Their teacher recommended this Snark tuner. One kid plays the violin, the other double bass and this works for both of those instruments. I don’t know how to use it, but my kids said it works great and is easy to learn. It’s also small and light enough to carry to school every day and to performance concerts.
