  1. Took me a week to get this riff down perfectly. There are lots of little things in this riff that you need to be aware of. Your rhythm needs to be perfect, your picking needs to be fast and accurate, you shouldn’t be picking too hard you should be able to change between those chord shapes quickly and smoothly, and, obviously, you need stamina to play the riff over and over again. Find out where your problem is and work on that. My problem was that my picking hand would freeze as soon as I did the hammer-on/pull-off, delaying the next note and ruining the rhythm, so I fixed that, and I can play it perfectly now. Keep at it.

  2. Obrigado Justin, você é incrível, um professor maravilhoso. i dont speak english, i am brazilian. You are amazing, thanks.

  3. Are the last three chords (@9:12) in the same rhythm as the ones before that (@8:49)?

  4. Before this video I thought I was the only one who played it with the ring finger

  5. It’s way easier to play with a capo but still very hard holding that tempo constantly

  6. In my stadium arcadium guitar book It calls for a quick slide when entering the 4th cord of the main riff. (7-9 slide on the A string) I’ve been using my pinky on this song because if you want to learn any of John’s riffs you have to have a strong pinky.

  7. Every time I learn a frusciante riff I can get the intros/main riffs. It’s always the other parts that are harder to master because his style is impossible to match.
